Campaigning for BJP candidate fromLadakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Union Minister for Minority Affairs MukhtarAbbas Naqvi addressed a mega rally at Hussaini Bagh, Kargil where thousands ofinhabitants of Kargil participated and showed their enthusiasm towards thepolicies and developmental works taken by Central Government led by PrimeMinister Narendra Modi. 

Naqvi was also accompanied by StatePresident BJP Ravinder Raina, Former State President BJP and Ex Minister, SatSharma (CA) and many other senior leaders of the party.

Addressing the gathering, Naqvi thanked the people of Kargil-Ladakh for mixing up with pro public policies ofPrime Minister and said that all major infrastructural projects inKargil-Ladakh were taken up under the BJP led NDA government which is committedto the welfare of common man across nation.

He stated that Prime Minister Modiinaugurated the works on Rupees 6809 crores worth All weather road fromKashmir to Ladakh(Zojila Tunnel) in May last year and after the completion ofthis road, the people of Kargil and Leh will not have to suffer for 5 monthswhen all the roads leading to Ladakh region are closed due to snowfall. The BJPgovt was fully aware that the people of the region lack basic commoditiesand that is why Prime Minister gave this major project so that basiccommodities could be made available throughout the year for all the people ofLadakh region.

Ravinder Raina said that theinhabitants of the region have made up their mind to support BJP again andthis has been visible on ground during the campaign programs and ralliesthat how much people support the developmental agenda of  Prime MinisterNarendra Modi. He also said PM Modi cares about the people of region and thatis why Ladakh Kargil are amongst his priorities as they are border connectedareas.

Sat Sharma said that bjp is fullycommitted to holistic development of Ladakh and keeping this in view a 5000 MWsolar power project has been sanctioned for the region and it will reduce dependenceof Leh and Kargil on diesel based generators. This will help in 12,750 tonne ofcarbon emission a year, removing dependence on diesel gen sets and createlivelihood for the local population that remains cut off for 6-8 months, headded.
